Sensory Play Activity: Make Your Own Construction Site

Construction Site Toddler Sensory Play

My son is obsessed with construction sites.  When we drive by an active construction zone, you’d think I took the kid to Disney World.  He gets just a little excited.  I wanted to do some baking today, so I had to come up with something to keep him occupied while I was in the kitchen.  The first thing that came to mind, was of course something construction related.    Although I could’ve taken the easy way out and plopped him in front of the TV, I decided to not play the role of lazy mama today.  I quickly threw together this little activity box.  You can make one too, here’s what you’ll need:

Get creative with what you add to your box, no need to run out to the store to buy anything new.  I used what we had in our playroom.  I found the little CAT trucks at Dollar Tree awhile ago.  We had the trees and hay bales from a set of plastic toy animals.
