If you follow any mommy bloggers on Instagram, or are a frequent shopper on Etsy, you’ve probably seen pacifiers that look like this:

When I started noticing these natural pacifiers more and more, I admit I was feeling a little left out.  So I decided to do some research.  It turns out they’re made by Natursutten, a European-based company that specializes in non-toxic, plant-based baby products.  I reached out to Natursutten and requested to try a few pacifiers for myself.

I’m such a sucker for cute packaging!

As an exclusively breastfeeding mom, it can be frustrating at times when I’m constantly being used as the “human pacifier.”  I’ve tried different brands of pacifiers, and while some work as a temporary fix, nothing quite compares to the comfort I provide my daughter.  Natursutten pacifiers are different than anything we’ve tried in the past.  They not only are natural, but they feel natural as well.  They are very soft and almost skin-like.  And the original version brushes against the baby’s nose, which mimics the comfort of nursing.

We’re sold!  They seem to be working, and I’ve even got my daughter to take naps without me holding her this past week (breastfeeding mamas, you know what I’m talking about!).  I don’t think we’ll be going back to the other brands anytime soon.

You can find Natursutten on Amazon or at baby boutiques around the world.

  1. I’ve never heard of these! Maybe they weren’t around when mine were infants but I would have definitely checked them out! And I was totally a human pacifier too. 😉

  2. I haven’t tried one of these, but my son will only use pacifiers that have a natural nipple shape and brush against his nose. I’m forever losing track of his pacifier, so I think I’m going to give these a try. Thanks!
