Oreo Crunch French Toast

Oreo Crunch French Toast

French toast is a breakfast favorite in our family.  I love to create different variations of the classic breakfast food, so when my son requested holiday Oreos for breakfast the other day, I decided to get creative.  And it turned out awesome!  Thanks, Jackson!

I used A LOT of butter in this recipe, but it was so worth it.  Coating the toast in the Oreos and then cooking it in the hot butter, resulted in a super crunch end product!  I should probably call this deep fried french toast!  So good!

This recipe makes 4 pieces of french toast.

Ingredients:Oreo Crunch French Toast

  • 4 slices Italian bread
  • 5 Oreos
  • 1/2 cup coffee creamer
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 stick of butter
  • powdered sugar

In a plastic sandwich bag, crush Oreos (cream and all).  Set aside.

In a shallow bowl, whisk together creamer, egg, cinnamon, and sugar.  Soak bread in the egg mixture.

While bread is soaking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.  Coat the soaked bread with the crushed Oreos and add to skillet.  Cook for about 4 minutes on each side.

Top with powdered sugar and enjoy!

  1. YUM!! My hubby loves Oreos and french toast, so I may have to surprise him by making these over Christmas break. 😉
