Saving money can be hard. But the truth of the matter is, we all have to shop at some point. I think that if you’re going to spend your hard earned money anyways, you should be rewarded for it. Check out my 7 favorite reward programs… Is your favorite on the list?
I’ve been a member of their Beauty Insider program for as long as I’ve been old enough to wear makeup. You earn points from every purchase, which can be redeemed for free full-size products. The best part is you don’t have to spend a dime to benefit from this program – no matter what you spend, your receive a free gift on your birthday. In the past, I’ve gotten everything from lipstick to mascara FOR FREE! Happy birthday to me!
You can read all the reasons why I love shopping at Meijer here. The number one reason is the money you get back just for shopping. Using the store’s app, you can track your spending in different categories and earn rewards to spend on anything in the store (they sell clothes, people!). Think of it this way, you could get your kid’s winter boots for free, just for buying the groceries you are going to purchase no matter what!
This one’s easy peasy. You earn a point for every dollar you spend, once you have 75 points, you earn a $10 reward that can be used on anything. You can use Rewarding Moments at both Carter’s and OshKosh stores. Mama’s tip: Tell grandma, and anyone else who might be buying baby clothes, to enter your number at checkout. You’re more likely to use the rewards, anyways! 😉
Babies/Toys ‘R’ Us
I love this program because you can use it at both Toy ‘R’ Us and Babies ‘R’ Us. You earn a point for every dollar you spend, once you have 125 points, you earn a $5 reward that can be used on anything. I LOVE free money!
Similar to Carter’s and Babies ‘R’ Us, you earn a point for every dollar you spend. When you hit 250 points, you receive a $5 reward. You also receive valuable members only coupons all the time. I love Gymboree’s coupons because they can almost always be used on clearance!
The Shop Your Way rewards program has got to be one of my favorites out there. Different purchases at either store earn you different amounts of points, which can usually be used immediately. Download the Sears app and stalk the deals page. There are times that they offer you more rewards than an item even costs, essentially paying you to take products from them. I recently MADE $17 in rewards to take away 4 pairs of boys’ shoes. Mind. Blown.
If you buy a lot of office supplies, then this is the reward program for you. You earn 5% back from every purchase. My mom usually passes her rewards on to me. Let’s just say, I don’t think I spent a dollar of my own money on school supplies all through college. Thanks mom!
