I have never had issues with my skin. In fact, I’d say that for the majority of my life I’ve been blessed with close-to-perfect skin. But that flawless complexion was thrown out the window after having babies. Since becoming a mom, my perfect skin has become less-than-perfect, to say the least. My skin requires extra attention these days and sometimes I need to be reminded to take my own advice, and indulge in some self-care. Taking care of your skin is SO important and should not be neglected when you become a mother.
I don’t know about you, but my post-pregnancy skin is so confused! Some days it’s oily, some days it’s dry, and some days it breaks out like a 13 year old’s. After dodging these issues throughout my teenage years, why am I being punished as an adult?!
Up until now, to achieve my pre-baby glow, I’ve had to use some very expensive foundation that takes more time than I have to apply. It’s exhausting and most days I just forego it altogether. The truth is, I just don’t have the time to put on an entire face of makeup everyday. That’s why when my friend Amber approached me about a new Rodan + Fields product, I was ready to try it as soon as possible.
To be clear, I do not sell R + F, and this is the first product of their’s that I’ve tried. I have to say that after being skeptical of the raving reviews I’ve been hearing from friends and family for the last couple of years, I too am now a believer. The secret to my new perfect skin is their Active Hydration Serum.
After just a few weeks of using the AHS, my skin is feeling (and looking) hydrated, but not oily. My naked face glows even more now than it did when I would apply my favorite high-end foundation.
